The National Center for Biomedical Glycomics (NCBG) is focused on the development and dissemination of tools and technologies for analytical glycomics and impacts the research of many investigators in the biomedical community. We operationally define glycomics as encompassing glycan structural determination on glycoconjugates including glycopeptide glycan-site determination, as well as glycogene transcript quantitation and glycan processing pathway mapping. Our analytical Technical R&D program develops tools for glycan, glycoconjugate and glycogene analyses hand-in-hand with glycoinformatics. These tools have been progressively incorporated into our Community Engagement service, collaboration, and training programs that have an exceptional track-record of analyzing hundreds of biological samples and, our summer workshops have trained well over a hundred participants.
